Calendar Time Resources
Our typical calendar routine consists of....
1. The Pledge of Allegiance
-Have your child identify his/her right hand, put it on their heart and stand towards a flag (you can always use the picture below :)
-If they would like to hear my voice saying the pledge, click on the picture of the flag below

2. Calendar
-Identify what the month is and clap how many syllables are in it (ex: Sep-tem-ber is 3 syllables)
-Show your child where today is on a monthly calendar and then practice counting to that day, beginning at 1
-Pointing at the current day, show your child how you can move your finger up to identify what the day of the week is
-Sing the days of the week song (linked just below)
-Identify again what the day of the week is, look at what yesterday was, and what tomorrow will be

-Talk about what clothing you would wear today if you were going to go outside
-Sing the weather song (linked below) and look out of the window to identify what the current weather is

-Talk about what clothing you would wear today if you were going to go outside
